We scheduled  our mural inauguration December 11, 2013. The date coincides with a school activity and the students will not be taking exams. Therefore the director and I agreed it was best to reveal the mural to parents and invitees as well as dedicate the mural. We were preparing the wall to be completed by the inauguration date yet it was not feasible and it was 5 days ahead of our original completion date. Nonetheless, we forged forward. This week we worked hard to complete the mural painting process. More students painted through the week and on Saturday, December 7 we hosted friends and colleagues who came to the school to help us paint. It was a great experience and so wonderful to share my project with them and paint together. Check out the photos below. Sidenote: I wear the same painting clothes throughout the week, just a warning so that you know there are no repeats.
